Sound quality:
Pretty good sound, has options to adjust the equalizer in the soundcore app so you can tailer it to your audio, with many presets. I often use the "rock" and "R&B" ones for my music and they sound great. Has good bass, which you can adjust and turn up.

Volume:
Doesn't go up incredibly loud, but I don't think most earbuds do either. I'm fine with the sound limit and usually listen to music louder with other headphones. These block out sound decently in addition to audio, which I think balances it out.

Calling/mic:
For calls, these are technically usable if necessary, if you are ok with a terrible mic and even worse call controls. Multiple times I just rested my hand on my head or something without thinking and it ended the call- I have to basically not touch them at all. There's no setting in the app to adjust these controls as far as I can tell, and nothing on the instructions or anything to tell you what the controls even are.

Touch controls:
The touch controls are finicky and often take multiple tries/sometimes you activate the wrong thing, but you sort of get used to this I guess. You can adjust said controls in app settings- for instance I set the "skip to next song" control from tapping twice to holding down for a couple seconds, very useful to be able to change...

Noise cancellation:
Noise cancellation is good. Obv noise cancelling headphones- the kind you'd wear in gun ranges- are more heavy duty, though, so it's really a matter of what level of cancellation you need. These earbuds probably do it for the average person.

Misc:
Battery is good and long. Earbuds look nice and are small/compact, easy to carry. It's really helpful that there's an option to find them if you lose them. It seems like these can play audio- without others around you hearing- quite well.

So I got these on sale for $76 CAD instead of $99 MSRP, so keep that in mind.

The sound is shockingly good for the price. The mid and high frequencies are super clear. The bass is definitely present but honestly kind of pretty muddy. The bass boost mode in the app makes it louder but less clear. Instrument separation is only okay, but great for the price.

The ANC is clearly an afterthought, but nice to have, specifically the transparency.

It comes with a lot of earbud sizes, but even with those the fit are not very snug. They could have benefited from wingtip. The made the bud thicker with thin stems. That looks good but makes the buds fall out of smaller ears over time, and using smaller tips makes the ANC work far worse.

The app is really, really good. It blows much bigger companies totally out of the water, and the only thing I'd like to see them add is a frequency test to rule out frequencies that my ear won't hear.

I took this on a 4.5 hour walk and had no battery issues at all, never needing a recharge. ANC was on for about 90 minutes.

It's great value for the money, really really good. But if you have small ears be aware it might not fit well. If they put in wingtips the overall value would jump a whole point for me. Hint hint for the future there Anker.
