Life Q30 | Bluetooth Noise Cancelling Headphones

I would really like to write a glowing review, but, unfortunately, the quality of the construction of these headphones is disappointing...I strive to take very good care of my audio equipment, but the Q30's have fallen apart nonetheless...

I have bought 3 pair of the Q30's to date ...I've also purchased four Q45's and one Q35...I can say the Q45's/Q35 are put together far better than the Q30's...This would make sense from a price point perspective, but, given some of the other reviews here, I don't think I'm alone in my assessment of the quality of the manufacturing of the Q30...

In closing, for what it's worth, I would advise potential buyers to steer clear of the Q30's and spend a couple of more bucks and get a Q45...

The sound is pretty mediocre. When you switch from normal / transparency / noise cancelling, you get a loud narrator voice announcing each mode. "Transparency" mode is way louder than if you just took your headphones off. It's more like someone amplified all of the background noise and delivered it straight into your ears.

But by far the biggest disappointment with these headphones is that they completely cracked and fell apart 2 months after purchase. These are poorly designed. Avoid!

Well 2 months after the warranty period is over my headphones randomly developed a crack above the ear piece. Any down down it will separate and that will be it for the headphones. Anker was not willing to help.

Although I really loved these headphones the quality is not good and Anker will not stand behind their quality. For this reason, I recommend not purchasing these headphones.

I would say these sound better then the headset I bought a year ago for little over 200. I would mess with the equalizer in the soundcore to improve the sound. I have attached a picture of how I have mine set. And it sounds amazing to me. If you don’t want to spend an arm and a leg for a headset then these are what you should get. As they are just as good as the ones that cost 4 to 5 times more

The sound quality is very good! It has a good amount of base but not too much. I got these for my job wich does have me on alot of calls and meetings. I recorded my voice on my computer and I think it sounds more than good enough even with noises in the background. Although I did notice sometimes when a client I speak with has a bit of a muted or not so great mic, it does sound a bit too bassy and so not as clear but in general this has not been a major issue. This is also only in comparison with a Plantronics headset I used previously which is made for phone clarity and not music sound.
Comfort wise I wear them at least for a few hours at a time and for the most part only after a few hours of constant wearing does it even start to get a tad bit uncomfortable for me. Even though my ears are large and it does touch the side of my ears it's fairly comfterable for at least a couple of hours at a time. I did also take a look at the q20 and those were also good but with only one device pairing and no app the q30s are much better. Though it seemed to me the q20s had slightly better passive noise cancelation maybe because they fit more snug around the ears? I also personally like the design and the dark black with gold accent much better than the q20s. These seem to have good but not great build quality. I have heard with time people having issues with plastic parts along the top. However I think if you don't drop them much and take decent care of them they should hold up well. As for the ANC it is good but not great. Though I have found that even on better Anc products like the q45 their is still some sound and so I just use some concentration music when I really need some extra sound proofing. For me personally I tend to use the transparency mode more than the Anc which works great! In general these are Awesome for the price and I am very happy with the purchase.
